Iteration #3

For this iteration, I wanted to focus on working on different layers while trying to make the background a collage of the original posters used in the first piece on this project. I haven't quite figured out how to add multiple pictures to one layer, after doing this I had at least thirty different layers with a poster for the background.

    Hi Dejah, I think you're going in a great direction with all of the signs in the background and on Marilyn's face. I really like the color scheme and the contrasts that you have going on. It could be interesting to add a few more Marilyns in between the layers of the background signs.

    I agree with Haley! I really enjoy the colors and aesthetic of this. And I like the repetition, I also think more of the Marilyns would really pop. I think I really enjoy the composition of the way you've placed the Marilyns already though, the different sizes and the angle you're giving is really visually interesting, so if you could somehow continue that if you do decide to add more Marilyns would be great! Also I'm really enjoying that you chose darker tones for the more forward image, it's another very visually interesting aspect of this image. :-)

 I initially chose images that dealt with black hair care, however, I struggled trying to think about something that I could do. Looking at the examples shown, every person had things that pertained to nature. I recently had to go out of town, and in the car, I started to snap photos. So far, this is what I have with the photos I snapped. In the beginning I accidentally cropped and moved the lid of the cup and I immediately thought of a drink spill. I did not take the picture of the drink spill because I did not know how I could possibly do that, one because I do not know how to and two, it would have been super messy. I don't know what I want the outside of the car (looking out the window) to consist of just yet. I am still testing things out.

Project 1- Fantasy Appliance

       For this first project I chose my appliance to be an old kerosene lamp. I mainly chose this object because of the many shapes found within this object. I think that there is a lot of different things that I could do with this lamp because of its many shapes, I think it opens up the opportunity for different possibilities which will help me out while planning for the design I am going for.   Old Kerosene Lamp

Iteration #2

 For this Iteration I was just focusing on how I could mess the photo up, I think I am having a difficult time doing these because I have a tendency to have things organized. I am trying to do things without putting in too much thought, it is more difficult than I thought. I am not completely satisfied with this because it still looks organized. I hope the next one could be a little more destructive. I tried to keep the theme women related by using a flower pattern.
